Washi Multi <Developed Product>
This is a new type of biodegradable mulch sheet for agriculture, a new product that takes advantage of the strengths of wood fibers and biodegradable plastic fibers.
This is a new type of biodegradable mulch sheet developed by a paper company for agricultural use. It decomposes in the soil and can be incorporated after harvesting, eliminating the need for collection. 【Features】 ■ High air and liquid permeability Being made of paper, it has higher air and liquid permeability compared to films. It helps suppress soil temperature rise (our measurements show a decrease of 2-3°C compared to films). ■ Can be laid using a mulcher The fine wrinkling process enhances flexibility. ■ Long-term storage is possible Biodegradable plastics tend to undergo hydrolysis easily, making them unsuitable for long-term storage. Washi mulch, made primarily from wood fibers, can be stored indoors and used the following year. Care should be taken to avoid water exposure and direct sunlight during storage. ■ Easy to incorporate into the soil after harvesting and less likely to tangle with tractor blades. As biodegradation progresses, it becomes easier to tear during incorporation due to its fibrous material. ■ Product with biodegradable plastic mark It has obtained the "Biodegradable Plastic" mark based on the biodegradable plastic identification display system of the Japan Bioplastics Association. It meets the standards for biodegradability and environmental compatibility.
